This secondary compilation supports source-literacy exercises and reference discovery. It is not original specimen measurement, a complete fossil-occurrence database or a uniformly expert-validated research dataset.
- id · common_name_en · common_name_zh · scientific_name
- Site identifier, common names and scientific name. Rows represent archive entries, not necessarily one uniform taxonomic rank.
- era · time_range_en · time_range_zh · category
- Archive time context and browsing category. Time ranges are text, not dates for individual specimens; category is not a formal taxonomic rank.
- discovery_country · reference_specimen
- Specimen origin and catalogue identifier for the initially checked records, not the taxon's entire distribution. Blank means no additional check is recorded.
- size_estimate · size_estimate_zh · doi · source_url
- Bilingual estimate or anatomy notes, related DOI and institutional source. Estimate fields are qualified text, not numeric columns in a uniform unit.
- evidence_status
- archive_record marks a basic entry. specimen_verified refers only to the described source checks of additional fields, not independent expert validation of the entire row or every scientific claim.
- record_updated · specimen_fields_checked · dataset_version
- Archive update date, additional specimen-field check date and dataset version. Dates use YYYY-MM-DD; later releases on the same day add a suffix such as .2. The specimen check date is blank where no check is recorded.
