EXTINCT ATLAS has no accounts, comments or submission forms. Google Analytics 4 is used only after consent to understand aggregate visits and interactions.
What information is processed?
The site does not directly request names, email addresses or user submissions. Only after consent, Google Analytics 4 may process device, browser, approximate region, page-view information and page-experience metrics such as LCP, INP and CLS.
Why is analytics used?
Aggregate analytics helps identify useful archives, navigation problems and errors. Anonymous events record species or collection selections, language changes and the first play of a film. Search terms, form content and personally identifying information are not recorded.
What choices do visitors have?
Analytics storage is denied by default and is enabled only after an explicit choice. Visitors can reopen privacy settings at any time. Declining does not affect archives, search, images or films.

This notice was published on 2026-08-28 and reviewed on 2026-08-29 when consent-based anonymous page-experience metrics were added. It will be updated if accounts, forms, advertising or new data processing are introduced.
