What was Carnotaurus?
Carnotaurus was an eight-metre abelisaurid predator from Late Cretaceous Patagonia, recognised by paired brow horns, a deep short skull and extremely reduced forelimbs.
The holotype preserves much of one individual plus extensive skin impressions, but the lower legs and tail are incomplete. Body outline, horn covering and behaviour must therefore separate direct evidence from comparison.
